WHEN THE CHESS PIECES COME ALIVE is a comedy about war, peace, transformation, love, and the magic of childhood and old age.

A play written by Elizabeth Clark-Stern and performed live by the Shrinkrapt Theatre Cast: Aeron Jarvis, Diane Tatum, Elizabeth Clark-Stern, Tim Nelson, Ann Blake, Gabrial Delgado and Juliana Ferreira.

SYNOPSIS: It features a Black Pawn whose mispronunciations are corrected by the superior White Pawn, a Black Knight who delivers romantic lines from Shakespeare to his beloved, the White Castle ("We can't get him to talk prose!") and a White King who thinks he is the most powerful  monarch in the world even though he can only move one step at a time. When George the Mastiff exercises his appetite for small wooden things, the Chess Pieces are thrown into chaos. What are they doing in this game? Who makes the rules? Can they be changed? Must they continue to die in battle in every game? And what of love? Come to the play and find out!
